This comprehensive program is designed for dedicated divers who aspire to share their passion for the underwater world with others.

What You Will Learn

The IDC consists of two main components: the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Throughout this intensive training, you will:

•  Master Teaching Techniques: Develop effective teaching strategies for confined water, open water, and classroom settings.
•  Enhance Leadership Skills: Learn how to lead and inspire students while ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
•  Understand the PADI System: Gain in-depth knowledge of PADI’s educational philosophy, dive theory, and training standards.

Course Details

Duration: The IDC is 13 days. This includes both theoretical and practical sessions aimed at preparing you for the Instructor Examination, one day rest and the Instructors Exam (2 days)

Prerequisites

•  Minimum age of 18 years.
•  Certified as a PADI Divemaster or equivalent.
•  At least 100 logged dives prior to attending the IE.
•  Completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) course, which can be taken during the IDC.

Excluded
•  IDC Online crew pack – 600 euros (to be paid 2 weeks before idc to receive study materials)
•  EFR Instructors crew pack – 189 euros (to be paid 2 weeks before idc to receive study materials)
•  Accommodation (Options on the next page)

Application fees to be paid directly to PADI (When these payments need to be made through link from PADI)
•  Instructor Examination Fee: €833 (During the IDC)
•  Instructor Application Fee: €245 (During the IDC)
•  EFR Instructor Application Fee: €152 (After the IE)
•  Specialty Application Fee: €240 (After the IE)

Please be aware, there are three separate parts to be paid.
• IDC to be paid to Travel sub before the start of the course
• Materials to be paid two weeks before IDC to receive and complete self study before IDC starts
• Application fees to be paid directly to PADI with link and card details at time listed above.
